Accommodation
Golden Grove offers comfortable and pleasant accommodation that is in close proximity to the city of Sydney, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and Sydney University while sitting amongst one of the most interesting and exciting parts of Sydney - King Street Newtown.
We are smoke and alcohol free accommodation and foundationally Christian. We are housed in the beautifully restored former convent - Golden Grove (named after the First Fleet Ship that carried the first Minister, Rev. Richard Johnson, to Australia).
We are a non-profit organization and this is important to us. All other locations offering accommodation are businesses generating income - we are not. We are a ministry that is set-up to provide accommodation.
While many of our guests are visitors to the local hospitals (Royal Prince Alfred, Chris O’ Brie Lifehouse, St Vincent's, Royal North Shore and Prince of Wales) and university, a number of travellers find their way to Golden Grove. All of our advertising is through word of mouth. Come and stay and see why so many people call us home when they visit Sydney.
Our rooms are on three levels (a small number of rooms are on the ground floor) with both ensuite and shared bathroom options. A chair-lift is available to assist those to upper floors (max 100kg).
Rooms with Ensuite
A number of our bedrooms come with their own ensuite bathrooms / showers.
Available ensuited rooms are single, twin, double and family rooms.
Rooms with Shared Bathrooms
A number of our bedrooms have shared bathrooms, with separate male and female bathrooms.
Shared rooms include: single, twin, double and triple.
Self-contained Cottage Flat
We have a fully self-contained flat in our cottage with:

1 single bed

Option: to adjoin a separate bedroom (with 2 single-beds) for an additional cost.
Breakfast
Complimentary continental breakfast is provided for all guests from 7:30 - 8:45am every morning.
Parking
We have a 15 spot carpark available to guests while they are with us.

Garden and courtyard
Most guests who visit with us spend much of their time in our expansive garden and courtyard. It is a real treasure of our property. Most guest are surprised to find how beautiful and peaceful they are.
Driving into Golden Grove can feel like you are stepping out of the very busy city and into a peaceful parkland.
